Wash your face regularly with water and mild face wash. Make sure you dont have any dandruff issue. Dont touch hair and face often. Drink lot of water. Also watch your food. In some people milk (diary products), egg, oily foods create issue. If you have severe acne, get rid of this for a while and see if there is any improvement. Eat and live healthy. I have used a gel called 'Erytop' (from India) for acne it helped me. Using Benzoyl Peroxide every night may also help. Make sure to use sunscreen. Also make sure you use moisturiser and sunscreen that dont clog pores (oil-free and non-comedogenic)
Thanks for your advice @DDream. Yes I have dandruff issue too, tats the reason my face and scalp are oily. Will change my food habits along with other tips.
i had chronic acne and oily skin till 23.Once i came to US everything stopped and then only i came to know it was due to the severe pollution in chennai and sun. Wear sun screen and cover your face when you go outside. it will subside.
I don't know about your diet. Yes, definitely diet and lifestyle impact your skin. Many people have told me this and I am beginning to do it recently, although not frequently, drink a litre of water when you get up in the morning. That helps clear your stomach of any toxins and keeps you hydrated. Someone even said you don't have to bother brushing your teeth, but that's up to you. Personally, I would prefer brushing my teeth before I take anything in the morning. About the haldi/besan, I used to use it before, now I don't have much time, the way I used to do it was take haldi+a little milk(good if it is full fat milk) - enough to make a paste like consistency (not watery), apply it to face and keep it for 5 minutes and then scrub with besan (I wouldn't mix both of them and then apply) and then wash very well with water(if you don't get off the besan completely, it will dry up your skin and leave it feeling irritated), wash the besan and wash your face twice with just plain water. As you are washing with water, don't forget to scrub your face with your hands (to remove any residual besan). Don't wash with soap again. Don't use soap at all for face if you ask me. Don't eat oily food, especially food made with refried oil, chips. Stop deep-fried food. Eat fruits for snacks. Finally, stop overthinking, if you stress it out, you can get acne too. Do pranayama for 5 minutes in the morning to clear your breathing.
Thanks a lot for the tips @sarvantaryamini. I do eat fried foods but not regularly though. May be I’m missing on veggies and fruits.
I had oily skin and lots of pimples in India. But after few years in USA, every thing went away like magic. I think weather and pollution plays a major role
