    Hi Ladies,
I want some info on postpartum appointments with our current OB/GYN.
Can the same OB/GYN take care of my health concerns for as long as I need her after my delivery?
or Do we have to search for another health care provider? If so,what will be the category of doctors I need to search for(like family care physician etc)

    Please clarify......

    thanks in advance.

Your ob/gyn can continue to take care of all your gynecological needs/issues after delivery as well (They specialize in both obstetrics and gynecology). I have an ob-gyn who I go to yearly for my pap smear etc and a regular internal medicine specialist who does my yearly physical (blood work and other stuff).

I have had one OB-GYN now for a long time.. she was my gyn before I got pregnant & she is delivering my baby & she will be my doctor after the baby comes too..

You will however need a seperate doctor for your general issues - OB-GYN will only take care of your womens issues

    I second Devikas.
Your post delivery issues related to your delivery will be takencare by your OB/GYN. But for nomral issues, you need to have a general physician.
