Yes oats is absolutely wonderful . that's my breakfast everyday .. I love it on its own no sugar, salt nothing ..
It has fibre hence its very good to relieve constipation .
I have tried other brands but I feel nothing beats Quaker oats that taste the best !

Evergreen thats sweet of you to initiate this thread and share recipes!!

Count me in the Oats lovers list..
mostly I have upma or dosa..
I will share my other recipes too

I get hungry soon when I have it for breakfast, sure it burns all the fat.. I can sense it
what kind of oats you use?
Is consuming it frequently good? have heard it generates so much of heat and needs to be coupled with buttermilk always..

    Dear KaliaAnju,
Oats can become soft and pluffy with in 5 -10 min of soaking .. It is absolutely ok even if it is like pieces in any dish.. no need to grind and actually if u want u can grind for few dishes.

    Dear GSAnusha,
Am happy that you likes my recipes.
Ya even I get hungry when I eat them for breakfast. We use normal rolled oats. (quaker oats in singapore also). They are quite good. ya consuming them are making my weight in control. Ya even I felt they are heat generating and I drink buttermilk or cucumber to cool...

    Dear Radhica,
The way you are making is not wrong. You are doing the same thing we do with cereals. You can have them like that. Enjoy !

I usually take oats for breakfast with milk, honey and occasionally raisins but I am not consistent. I shall try to be consistent after reading your success with oats. But please tell whether are you also doing exercises and what about your food for lunch and dinner? Can you give a rough estimate of how much weight you lost over period of time since consuming oats for breakfast?
