    Congratulations on your pregnancy. Take good rest as suggested by the doctor. Dont worry things will be all fine. Hope you are taking folic acid and multivitamins. Eat healthy and wish you a hearty and healthy 9 months.

    Twins............

    Hello all ladies,

    I had my first scan yesterday at 7w3d and guess what... am expecting TWINS :eek:mg: I was shocked first of all, then seeing hubby's reaction :wow I was veryyy happy. Doctor showed us the heart beating of both babies, they were pumping in and out sooo rapidly. DH took a video shooting and lots of photos of the monitor.

    Inlaws and my parents too were very happy. They had no words to describe it. :party

    Doc said the heartbeats look healthy and there are very rare chances to miscarry after this stage. So its safe to declare the pregnancy to friends and relatives. He has called for another scan next wk (8w5d) to see if its progressing fine. Am thinking of announcing after that scan only. What say?? tsk

    He will be prescribing me with iron and calcium tablets and also said I may have to take early maternity leave coz premature delivery is quiet common in twins.

    Am very happy and though of sharing this joy with you all :thumbsup

    Wow that's amazing to have twins.now you should be really taking ample rest.it's better to tell friends after 3 months or after 12 weeks.you and your DH must have been really surprised and very happy to see 2 heartbeats.even i feel it.

    iam already thinking about your next scan update.i wish you all the best dear.:)

    Do you have any other symptoms along with this bleeding.like back pain or cramp or anything?.don't worry.be positive.good luck for your scan.

    Congratzzzzz dear....M very happy to read about your update.......really awesome to you and your family...Are they identical or fraternal??? Do you use any doppler in home to hear your lil ones heartbeats???

    Thanks tweetyfan, Vasumathy and Shaalu,

    I think they are fraternal as I saw two separate sacs and more over I have conceived through IUI and had 2 dominant follicles. I was going through some of the older IL posts on twin pregnancy and its really going to be challenging. Hoping that I will be able to stand up to the expectations :bowdown

    No I haven't used any hand held dopplers yet, I got to listen to the heart beats at the doctor's itself.

    How are all nov mums doing? What are the latest progress updates?

    A big Congratsssss dear:thumbsup Awesome news i must say. If u had two dominant follicles and u saw seperate sacs then they are for sure fraternal twins.

    So happy for u.:) Take care....and eat LOADS! U have to eat for 3 now.
