I thought it was the color white, refering to whether a person is wearing a white dothi<vetti?> or a non-white, like a sarong or lungi. And the post was referring to whether what was liked/quoted/etc/ was "clean" (lily white, snow white etc..) or not.

Quotes "alert" me the most. My max was 5.

hahaha...no wonder I thought vela-vetti is a white-dhoti, a metaphorical reference to clean-posts....as in a genuine-post that was needed, because googling came up with zilch.

'Vela' means job in Tamil, while 'vetti' means jobless. "No vela-vetti or what" is slang for someone goofing off.
