    Dear Srinik,

    Pls dont!!!!!!!!!!!......... Then I should have the kitchen as big as the Hall.... You see, the kids also enjoy sitting and chatting in the kitchen.... so when the whole family is there... where will be the space.... When my sisters come in.... kalas...........

    Noisiest......place in my house is my HALL .........we are jus 3 out of that 2 persons have big voice,.and we will keep on argue and fight almost all the time..........if u think .that is me and my DH u r wrong.iam sorry.....but its ME and my son KRISHNA.........since my hubby.we wont be able to see them till midnight.........i mean it.....so k wont be seeing him on weekdays...........me will jus say hi to him........and in the morning he will be sleeping till K starts to school.........even though he gets up........HE WILL BE SILENT MEMBER..........HE WILL SIT WITH PAPER OR TV AS IF HE ID NOT MEMBER OF THE FAMILY............however we fight or argue...........:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:redface::redface::redface:...........

    Apart from this...........iam in ground floor and first flat is mine...so all veg wala, keeraiwala, and all others will be asking me simply this and that.......and my thatha and amma willl come v often asking me same and simple questions daily.......

    I will finish off my kitchen work...almost b4 7am........maximum ...7.15......so no noise will be there........

    kitchen used to be fun
    noisy...you bet
    at my moms
    when we sat on the steps
    to eat, talk or fight..!
    kitchen was a small place
    with steps leading to a big hall
    but eating anywhere else
    was not as noisy as you say
    dosas came straight from the tava
    dont remember to have toppled food
    on each others head
    although it was a pretty animated
    mom in laws kitchen too was the same
    what with all of us eating from
    one huge tambalam
    (thats called tasting to see if salt, karam etc is right..!!)
    we had friends too...
    sat squatting, kaal neeetting
    or lying down a la bhujangasana
    with food on a plate...
    thanks for reminding a chunk of life
    thats slightly forgotten
    as we are twosomes again...!!

    Nice to see that you 'kitchen noise' will be over by 7.15AM...Bow
    Ok then the noise starts in the Hall...mmmm goood..

    DH scene is common in all the houses, i guess, in your place it is the newspaper, n mine it is the computer...:help

    Even after my kitchen work is over, there will be other sounds in other rooms, where the washer will be running and the drier drying (adjacent to the kitchen), telephone bell ringing ( one is in the kitchen and another in the adjacent hall), TV in the adjacent area, me shouting at the children ( to leave for the school in time..... after they come back ask ? them to eat, the list is endless, right.. to make us :crazy
    maybe the noisiest place in the world maybe is the HOUSE, right, na..

    the 'basic noise' of the kitchen doesn't disappear, even when there are less people, right na...
    It may not be the noisiest but will have the basics as I had pointed out...
