    Hi,
I’m confused between Ninja Foodi 9-in-1
Amazon.com: Ninja Foodi 9-in-1 Pressure, Broil, Dehydrate, Slow Cooker, Air Fryer, and More, with 6.5 Quart Capacity and 45 Recipe Book, and a High Gloss Finish: Kitchen & Dining

    and

Instant Pot Duo Crisp Pressure Cooker
    1https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VT23JDM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_dlC_k8eVFbZNK4Y89

Which one is better for a vegetarian household?
Also, does the air fryer functionality work as great as a regular air fryer?

I read somewhere that it’s a hassle to remove air fryer attachment. So I’m really confused !

I also noticed that there is no Yogurt option available for the IP Duo crisp. Is there any other way to set Yogurt in it?

I don’t have an exact answer for your question but have you looked at the Ministry of Curry blog, by Archana Mundhe? She has written a book on using Instant pot for Indian cooking and she has a detailed FB post today comparing the different models. Duo Crisp is also listed there.

Hey thanks for posting @shravs3. I was going to ask in this forum which IP is good. I came down to IP Duo Evo plus. I considered Ninja first because it was all in one. But here are some CONS I found -
    - The air fryer attachment cannot be removed. It stays attached all the time even when you are pressure cooking.
-when you open the cooker to check the contents, you will have to keep the air fryer attachment open and that warrants space between counter top and cabinets. so check that out b4 you buy.

    - Ninja overall takes up more counter space
    - the steam dissipation from the air fryer, I have read is very very hot and dissipates towards the side/back so need to caution while keeping it close to walls/backsplash.

These were the negatives I had read.

The Duo crisp lid on the other hand can be switched and removed during air frying and pressure cooking and vice versa.

The only pro Ninja has from the IP du crisp is that it is 1500 watts and the IP is 1200 watts.
This helps in heating the contents very quickly.

Can anyone else chime in on the IP Duo EVo Plus? I believe it does not have a compatible air fryer attachment made for it yet.

no big deal, people have used the saute or steam option to heat up milk for yogurt. You can google that one. You don't have to always go with the given menu options. some options can be modified to suit your needs.

I would like to add one more..
The inner pot for Ninja has Non stick coating where as for IP it’s stainless steel.
This is the main reason I’m hesitating to buy Ninja. But they say Ninja does a better job at air frying.

yes, it is ceramic too adding a another pound or two to its weight. so it is heavier than the IP's.
If you live in the U.S or India there is an IP called Mealthy multipot. the 2.0 version is similar to the IP duo Evo plus, the latest wersion of IP.
    Mealthy MultiPot 2.0 - Mealthy.com

It also comes with all the accessories needed unlike the Instantpot. Check it out. The price is quite similar to the IP. They have air fryer lid available in Costco if you need to buy later. As I am in Canada, they don't supply here. I was ready to buy that as I had done my research and ended up with that one.

Here are a 2 veg cook webpages I am planning to follow if I get an IP -

I have an IP with the yoghurt feature and have been using this setting to ferment idli and dosa batter. My better ferments well irrespective of the cold weather.I was thinking of purchasing the airfry lid for IP but my sister surprised me with the Ninja foodi airfryer oven for my birthday.I think it’s on a good deal in kohl’s and ninja kitchen now. It does not occupy a lot of space as I can flip it up when not in use. It’s stainless steel, only the sheet pan is ceramic nonstick. You can look it up, so far I have made pizzas, nachos, chicken legs and pakoras. They all taste delicious. YouTuber sandhyas kitchen can advise you as she uses both IP with its air fryer lid. There are several instant pot and airfryer groups on FB for suggestions and recipes.
