New to Minneapolis

    Hello ladies,
    My husband has accepted a position in Minneapolis and we will be moving in May-June timeframe from Chicago. Need suggestions on apartments - which cities/suburbs are best in terms of transport, hospital facilities, Indian communities etc.. We are looking for a 2 Bedroom apartment for renting
    Have heard of Edina, Eagen and eden prarie - but thoroughly confused...
    Need help ladies.....

    We live in Eden Prairie.. and here we do have luxury, semi luxury apartments too ranging from 800 to 1500 dollars rent. and there r so many Indians here. I can give u some apartment names if u decide to stay in Eden Prairie...

    I looked up apartments in Eden Prairie online and found that most of them have electric gas ranges. Is that the case ? Do you know ?

    yes, all of the apartments i saw hav electric ones... I really dont know if there r any apartments that provide gas ones :spin

    Uh oh! Electric ranges suck!!!
    Nevertheless, if you can send me names of some apartments that are good and have Indian communities around, that will be very helpful.

    Eden Place apartments. (I like these :) )
    Eden Commons (We live in these)

    The above 2 apartments hav less indians compare to the following 2.

    Fountain Place apartments(They say 80% Indians)
    Broadmore apartments(Same lot of Indians.)

    broadmore apartments to me looks more like a hotel, they dont have patio or balcony. These 4 apartments that are well known here and i have frnds living in there.

    There is one more Eden Lake, but I dont know much about that...

    we are planning to visit the shortlisted apartments sometime in April. I hope things go fine; moving and apartment looking is such a pain!

    we are planning to move there in august, my son is going to Gr2, i just want to know is there any elementry schools near this area?
