I am from the Midwest... My husband is going to take a job offer near fashion island Newport beach CA. We are looking for apartments nearby and thought staying in South Irvine might be a better option.

I have a 6 year old who will be in 1st grade. We are looking for apartment with indian families and which is in a good school district...

Any suggestions for good schools and apartments ?

Also we were looking at renting town homes, but can't decide where to look as we don't know the area.

    Thank you

    Anu

    Hi all,

We moved to Irvine y'day, We stay in Palmeras apartments. We were welcomed with the warm delicious smell of our Indian cuisine from one of our neighboring apts. Yet to find the source though.. ;)
Have started exploring the area today. Looks like Irvine is a very planned city. I see a lot of Asians here. There are a few toll roads here. We took CA 133 to goto walmart, ended up paying $5 toll for another $5 item. :(

    Regards
    Nirmala
