Need tips for participating in a TV show

    Hi all,

    One of my friends has got an opportunity to participate in a TV show. It is a game show where she will be going with 3 of her colleagues. She wanted to know what dress will look good on her. She wants to look simple but trendy. She was saying she thought of wearing 3/4th sky blue jean and a dark blue T shirt. I am not sure how it will look when viewed on TV. So am putting forth this question to ILites here...She is tall and thin....Please give your valuable suggestions...

    It depends on what type of things she will be doing on the gameshow. If it is answering questions, then she could wear whatever. If there is physical activity involved, then comfortable clothes are good. Since she is participating as a member of a team, maybe she has to wear the blue t shirt?

    Dear cissyboo,

    Thanks for your input...She has to just answer some questions...The TV crew has not imposed any dress code...So she can wear whatever she wants to...She just wanted to know what will look good when viewed on TV...

    What she chose sounds ok, as long as it is a nice, new fitted tshirt. Loose and baggy will make her look frumpy/dumpy. Good looking shoes are also a must, particularly with the 3/4 length (cropped?) jeans, which need to be a good fit at the calf also, not loose and flapping.

    She can't find something better to wear than a T-shirt????? T-shirts scream to me recent college grads just out of the hostel or lounging at home. Just my opinion. Isn't she going with colleagues? Does she want to look the best or the worst of the group?

    She could wear a more dressy top instead of the t-shirt. Adding a string of pearls to a simple silk top in solid color will give her an elegant dressed up look. Else a simpler shirt (like a casual button down) worn with a dressier jacket will make her look sharp and elegant as well. And heels.

    About colors, whatever she feels most at home with, and gets the most compliments on.

    Jeans (especially the 3/4 length!), cotton, t-shirts, sneakers - all say informal and casual, not necessarily dressy though you can make it elegant with the right accessories.

    PS: And dark wash jeans (if it has to be jeans!) JMO. It says grown up rather than the faded light blue jeans that are really casual (not in a good way!) :)

    Yeah...both are good fit for her...She also said she is planning to go for shopping to buy a new tops provided she likes something...Will keep you posted...Thanks a lot for your tips :)
