    Re: Birth Control

Yeah, I dont want to try any birth control methods dear.. Am okay with birth pills but GYN strictly said NO for it since am bf ing.. My vagina is too dry and when am ttc also it was too dry.. Dont want to try anything artificial also

Below ways are simple but expensive na.. Just thinking what to do..

Birth pills and bf ing is the link.. when we are bf ing we should NOT take pills..

    Anitha,

I am not sure whether pills and BF has any connection. Because today i had my review and Postnatal class where i was adviced for pills or Copper T. I asked my GYN about having pills and BF and she said there is no connection bt these. But one important thing is for pills we need to very be regular in days even with hrs it seems. Btw, i have never tried any of it b4 my preg.

    Anitha,

The only thing that worked for us is ejaculation out. Thankful to DH as it saves me from pills and the other methods too.
IC after delivery has been very painful thanks to the epi not fun like before delivery, let me see next whenever.

    Re: Birth Control

    Anitha,

There is a risk even from the "ejaculation out" method Lee mentioned..it's not 100% safe..
you could use "mini pills" like cutepavi mentioned...They are safe for breastfeeding..

Otherwise "Mirena" is the best..My ob said I can use that after 8 weeks post delivery..

Anyways, I did not opt for any of these..We still use condoms..DH is very understanding :)

DH is not allowing me to go for any of these method and taking pills too coz he is scared whether this may affect 2nd preggie like..

Its not about understanding dear.. if using condoms he says IC is not effective :rotfl

    Re: Birth Control

Anitha, if you are looking for a temporary contraceptive, the mini pills is great. For most women I know their cycle returned to normal within 28 days. Mirena, like the others who have suggested here, is also a good temporary contraceptive as it also releases very low dose of hormone progesterone... Anything progesterone based is pretty safe with bfing too.

    Re: Birth Control

    Ladies,

Quick question though silly.. never mind
I haven't started on usign any of these control methods yet.. just a thought from me
I didnt get my periods yet.. meaning no ovulation hapng right now for me na? So having IC twice a week wont make any sense right? I mean when ovulation itself is not hapening then IC cannot do anything in making me preggie na?

GYN told the same but asked us to be safe on risky sides..

Pls throw some lights on this..

    Re: Birth Control

Some women ovulate while breastfeeding. Some women start ovulating after breast feeding for some time. You could start ovulating and get pregnant on the first ovulation, never get a period and you wouldn't know you were pregnant for perhaps months. Best to be careful if you really don't want another kid shortly. If it doesn't matter then you can take the chance.
