    Hello Dubai ladies,
Good morning. I just seek some information out of your Dubai experience.
I got an opportunity to work in Dubai for couple of years at client place from my organization. I have a 2 year old boy. Though my husband showed his disinterest in sending me, but if its going to give a vast differece to my financial needs, I will try to convince him. Pllease help me in giving the following details. I dont exactly know about how much salary will be Dubai salary if I landed over there. I am going to stay in Burj Dubai
    1. How will be the Cost of living including accommodation, food, transport, clothing, day care center etc
    2. Can I manage single handedly with my kid?How safe is the place.
3.After all these expenses, how much can I save on a average salary.
4.How about VISA process and restrictions?
Please help me in getting those details.

    Hi Priya
    Welcome to Dubai.
Few things which i can say

1.It is much Safer if the location is good.(Burj Dubai is safer place)
There are also places like Karama, Oud Metha which has more of indians.
2.Do you drive?Or else getting ataxi is also comparatively cheaper and easier.
3.Visa processing is easier and quicker for dependants.
4.Ur expenses per month might be in the below range

A)Rent :AED 3000 to 5000(depending on the size and locality of house)
    B)Kids Daycare :AED 500 to 800
    C)Groceries:AED 700 to 900 for 2 persons including kid
D)Commutation:Depending on whether u can use local transport or taxi.
E)Good hospitals available (hope ur company provieds you the insurance benefits)

Saving potential is comparatively high when compared t european countries provided if you have a decent salary here(since it is tax free)

    Hope this information helps.

    Hi Priya mommy,
    One more point to remember:
If you have to sponsor your child the basic salary + HRA mentioned in the Labour contract should be above AED 4500 p.m. House rent contract should be in the name of the sponsor (in this case yourself). You will be able to sponsor your child ONLY after your residence visa has been stamped on your passport.
It is safe to live as a single parent. Especially places like Karama, Bur Dubai will be like Mini India.
You can feel free to ask if you need more clarifications.

    Regards

    USHA
