Need information on Baltimore, MD, USA

    Hello all,
    My husband has got a job offer from Baltimore, Maryland. He has to join there in Jan 2015. He searched some apartments online in Highland town. Can anybody tell me how the highland town area is? Somebody has told us that in Baltimore crime rate is higher than in Minneapolis?
    Please give me ur valuable suggestions as we have to answer the landlord in highland town.

    Some parts of Baltimore are quite shady. Most people live in the suburbs such as Owings Mills and Ellicot City, and commute into town. I don't know about Highland Town specifically, but if it is right in the middle of the city check online.
    Minneapolis is a much nicer place to live than Baltimore City, but the suburbs are not too bad.
