NEED INFO ON ENROLLING CBSE 10th student to any school in adelaide.

    Hi All,
    we are planning to move to Adelaide within this year.we are basically from Chennai-tamilnadu-india.
    My son a 16 years old studying in CBSE system at 10th standard,
    My husband's company moving us to Adelaide before end of this year.

    I request all friends out there to guide with advice in this regard.
    I really wonder is it there is any school accepting CBSE students in middle of session?
    Is it my son age is OK to enroll in 10th standard?
    what is the equivalent standard for the CBSE 10th?
    how is the education over there?

    i have plenty of questions to find an answer.
    please help me with the above.

    i am a silent reader of this forum since long and this is my first post so for.

    hi rabia,

    welcome to Australia. I stay in Sydney and came here on PR in august 2013. we had no problem in putting my son in 10th std during the mid session. And schooling is same everywhere in Australia,so don't worry about your son getting admission to 10th std. he will attend the school in the area,where you stay. if you know where you are going to stay then you can contact schools in that area. hope this info will help you.

    is the syllabus is easy or too tough?
    is there any language other than English?
    my son took Hindi as a language study.
    coming November he will be turning 16 years. will he continue in 10th with this age there?
    we say the syllabus is CBSE what they call their syllabus.?
    is there any home work as here? here it is too much of homework.
    how about the culture in the schools?
    is there any discrimination your son felt in the school?
