Hi All, We are planning a get together for the new years eve at our apartment and there are many plans for the dinner and games and fun evening that night. I thought that there should be some special session for all the GRand moms and Grand dads. They are a very important part of the society and I wanted them to take part and enjoy the show too.. Dear ILs who are grannys and grandpas .. or those who have the experience of have conducted the games/ fun events for elders .. please share your ideas.. every idea would help me a lot.. kindly pour in your suggestions.
U can ask them to share ----------- best moment of life -----------funniest moment of life ----------- What they feel they havent done yet in their life ----------- Which place they want to see
one thing i can suggest is to ask the difficult times they faced in life, be it family or profession or others. and how the spouse/family supported them during those difficult times i feel that could be a lesson worth learning for many today
never ask for difficulties they faced in the lifetime... let them open ... how to live a happy life with minimum requirements.. how life can be happy without gadgets and do learn the old things from granny's
Nobody wants to alk about very perosonal things in public places or parties. Ask men to narrate their unique experiences in their career and ask senior ladies about recipes...they would love to narrate.
in my niece's play school, they keep a day where the grandkids come with their grandparents (some kids as young as 2-3 yrs old) and say why they love their grandparents...the children are asked to touch grandparents feet, give them a rose , some snack pack/ gift, a peck on the cheek and say something....often some parents try to have the kids and grandparents wear colour co--ordinated clothes
