I want to buy manchatti. I read that earthenware needs to be pure without contaminants like lead etc. Amazon India has some good products but they are high priced. Recently I saw some earthenware in Royal Mart and they were one fourth the Amazon product's price. I guess it is not "pure clay". Does anyone have any info on how to go about buying them?
You can buy them near mangadu Amman temple. In those shops I.e mostly situated on temple backside entrance. They have curd pots and cooking pots. Even small sized ammikkal. Very cute. U will be tempted to buy. No heavily priced but pricey only.
