Need Help- Is There Is Way To Postpone Signing For Government Pension?!!

    hi,
    My parents planned to come for my delivery in Usa. My father is a pensioner. He has to sign for pension every year in one particular month else his pension will be stopped. Is there is any way we can send a letter to bank or someone ,to allow him to sign it when he come back india.

    My Mil retired from the housing board. She gives authority to one of her friends to sign and get on her behalf whenever she travels to US

    I tried searching in web about what to do when a resident Indian temporarily moved out of country and have to sign for pension in bank.i couldn't get proper answer for it. All say about non resident pensioners. He can ask the bank but if He knows for sure that he can give power to someone to sign, he can talk clearly to them that this option is good.

    My father contacted the back authority and explained the situation,they said just a letter saying the reason for not able to sign ,is enough. So my problem solved. I am relieved now.
