Need help in planning first bithday party.

Hi IL,
I'm planning to celebrate my daughter's first birthday first week of December.
Please suggest me how and what should I do to make it memorable.I 'm getting very nervous because I have not arranged any party before that .

is this party mostly of adults, which is usually the case with small children, where is it going to be, how many people are expected

Thanks for quick reply .Almost 45 to 50 people are invited.
Sorry for not providing adequate information actually in the morning I was in hurry .
almost 40-45 people will come.party place is aprartment's club house.kids are not older then 4 year.
Please suggest me.

so far what have you planned?

For kids you can always get pizza, icecream??, and cake

For adults is it indian cuisine? take out? catering ??

you are right ,for adults we have arranged Indian cusine cater will do and soft drinks .and for kids pizza and I think due to weather we may not have icecream.In return gift we have bought toys for all kid .
Thats it ...
Now need your valuable opinion.What else I should do.

U can call for dummies with cartoon characters(1or2of them)n can ask any one to sit n do some face painting for kids i think this can be easily managed by one of ur close friend as i dont have the experience about US what n how do they manage to call them,i did this all for my sons birthday BUT in india .As i have seen kids here inUS loves face painting.
