    Dear faathi
    Very sorry to hear about the burn. Did you show it to a skin specialist.Its better to consult a doctor then do home remedies.

    Maybe you can try some of my simple remedies:
    -Add two drops each of rosemary and fennel essential oils to three teaspoons of almond oil and massage into the affected areas.
    - Include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.
    - Mix caffeinated coffee dust with any hand cream and apply on the areas for a minute, everyday.

    Some simple remedies that one must memorise for quick action:-

    * Honey turmeric paste
    * Cucumber juice or a slice
    * Aloevera gel or slice

    Sorry @Faathi if the burn mark has not faded in 5 yrs no home remedy now is going to help. Our skin has an amazing capacity to heal itself. Consult a dermatologist and in the meanwhile apply castor oil to the mark daily .

    You can try some papaw ointment to treat it. It will soothe and hydrate your skin properly. You will also need to drink plenty of waters to help your skin lighten again. Eating of fruits and vegetables can also help to heal the burn skin inside.
