Need Guidance/Assistance for studying Software Testing

The best thing for you would be to join forums (google, yahoo, orkut) where you can find lot of discussions about various aspects of software testing. Whenever you find a new term or concept, google about it and read the relevant information with some examples.

This method would be much mroe inetresting than trying to read a textbook.

Concepts of Black box and white box testing i guess :hide:
There was a book by Tata McGraw Hill on Software testing - I dnt quite remember the name (I find find it out) which had quite some extensive terms and concepts (a part of which only was included in our engg syllabus) but I believe that much would be sufficient for Theory studies..

2: different SDLC(software development life cycle)
3: Bug life cycle
4: techniques, principles of testing and so on..

These are just the basics of software testing, once you are comfortable you can move in depth.
