Hi, I am interested in pursuing Software Testing as a career. I have studied few basics concepts from the internet materials. Can anyone, who works in this field help me with materials or atleast tell me when kind of topics i should study theoritically ? Please ladies..i desperately need this help from you all. TIA, Priya
The best thing for you would be to join forums (google, yahoo, orkut) where you can find lot of discussions about various aspects of software testing. Whenever you find a new term or concept, google about it and read the relevant information with some examples. This method would be much mroe inetresting than trying to read a textbook. -Lakshmi
Concepts of Black box and white box testing i guess :hide: There was a book by Tata McGraw Hill on Software testing - I dnt quite remember the name (I find find it out) which had quite some extensive terms and concepts (a part of which only was included in our engg syllabus) but I believe that much would be sufficient for Theory studies.. I will give u the name of the book soon
Hi Priya, Good to see that you are intereseted in software testing, I am also working in the same field. These are the few topics which you need to have knowledge on: 1: Types of testing 2: different SDLC(software development life cycle) 3: Bug life cycle 4: techniques, principles of testing and so on.. You can refer to the below link: Testing Basics Software testing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia These are just the basics of software testing, once you are comfortable you can move in depth. hope this helps Pandu
