Need Apartment Recommendations - Richardson/Plano Area

I am planning to move closer to my work location in Richardson, TX (I75 - Exit Collins Blvd). I don't know much about this area and wanted to check with folks living/working around this region for recommended apartments in Plano/Richardson.

- How is the traffic in Plano/Richardson region during peek hours. I am OK to commute about 10-15 miles one way, provided traffic is not that bad.

- Are there any recommended apartments with a big Indian community in Plano/Richardson area?

- What other close by cities can be considered as options for travelling to Richardson every day?
