Materials

Polyster cloth 3 colours of your choice.The main colour you can buy 1mt the other 2 colours u can buy 1/2 mts each.
Satin ribbion ( Main colour ) or gold lace plain for making flowers. ( Keep them ready before Doing the Toran) so it will be easy when doing.

you willl have to cut the rectangle shape in 2.5" inches in length and 1" inch in width.

3 Brass Bells medium sized to hang it one in the centre and one at the starting and other at the ending.

No. 10 thread and big needle.

Procedure


1. Put the cloth in 4 layers and pin it up so that it wont move while cutting and mark the rectangle shape with edges curved on both the sides on the cloth and cut it, ( make the rectangle shape with the curved edges on the cardbord first and cut it, so it will be easy for you to mark it on the cloth refer image 1 )

2. after cutting you will have to Candle it on all the sides to avoid the lines of the cloth coming out, by now all the things would be ready for doing


3. Then needle the thread for 1mt and tie a ring so that you can hang it to the doors. now take the 1st border colour petals each one and fold it exactly to the 3/4 first in upward direction the rest 1/4th part should go down ( Ref image 2). after folding, needle this cloth exactly to the centre, the first, & second petals should be in + shape ( ref image 3 ), 3& 4 should be in X shape (Ref image 4 ) so the completed 1 line will be as image 5. Now follow the same procedure for the second border colour and complete, after finishing it put the satin ribbion flowers or the gold lace flowers even these flowers should be in + and continue with the 2nd border colour complete it and then complete it with 1st border colour. Now start following the same with the main colour ( the First and the 2nd border colour petals you can take 20 petals so u get 5 lines and the main colour u can take 110 petals. so the ratio is 20:20:4 satin or glod lace colours:110. the same will continue through out the end )

4. U should do get 6 boders and 6 main coloured in a toran so its completed. Dont forget to put the rings to hang. you can refer the Pink toran and White toran posted in thread before.

Note:

When you are needling the petals make sure you put it exactly to the centre or else it looks akward. The images are drawn roughly for you get an idea to do.

This is the folded greeting card. Seen in a tv telecast and triedout. The first picture showcause the design.
If we pull the ribbon it will open slowly like seconf picture and final view will be like the third picture.
