    Mighty mountains, gentle breeze
    Flowing rivers and lush trees
    Natural carpet, a green grassland
Together they make, heaven on earth

    Scented breeze, says flowers around
    Birds chirping, rhythm to ears
Taking toxins in, letting oxygen out
Trees make teachers, a friend in need

Grains of sand on a pleasant land
    Whispering waves, sand-built caves
No work, no one, no noises around
Eternal bliss, is a walk by the shore

We humans know only to take
Fruits, plant, water, nature for granted
In return, we have nothing to give
But building blocks and concrete jungle

Dig the earth, leave no treasure
Sky and earth, for selfish pleasure
Looted her of all her wealth
Yet she smiles, so we breathe easy

    Luxury, work and wealthy gains
Makes mother nature writhe in pain
    Her anger shown in catastrophe
Momentary fear, but we seldom stop

A barren land, parched and thirsty
    Lamp posts, towers, greenery replaced
    Smoke in air, troubled lungs
A gift passed on to the generations to come?

Each one feels, what can I do?
Think!Drops of water, make the ocean
Save water, power, minerals and more
As much as one can, to restore!!

    Enjoyed reading your poem Sudha
Those green meadows those singing birds, those beautiful flowers nature give us so much of fresh air and beauty to our eyes and we human destroy them to build concrete jungles on them and destroy the beauty of the nature.
