How to find the ovulation Time?

Dear Ilites,
I'm completing 1 year of my married life this June and We have though of a baby. We thought we could postpone it for another year like till March 2008, but i have got high concerns after reading all the posts in this forum on the complications faced during delayed pregnancy.

My concerns are:
1.Is it possible to become pregnant only during ovulation time? How do we find it out? Any symptoms?
2.Should i avoid eating papaya ? I ate it couple of days back and faced severe pain in the left side of my stomach.

All Seniors members, please educate me on this.I'm having serious concerns about my pregnancy.All the more terrified about the very thought...
