My husband has lost interest in making love after having a kid

I think there are a lot of ideas on this subject in this forum.

First try to ascertain the cause for this lack of interest. It could be quite deep rooted. Maybe seeking the help of a good counsellor may be a good idea.

Prad, I am afraid that this might deviate the thread to greater lengths and OP might be left wondering. May be you can start a thread on such hypothetical case while this thread can be left designated to OP's personal problem.. I believe OP's case is not a perpetual loss of interest.. What say you?!

May be they are cautious that again it may lead to another pregnancy.
Discuss with him abour your contraceptive options. Definitely a great life ahead.

 

You have not provided enough details to provide any solution.

Did you speak to your DH about this problem?
Did he say that he is not interested in having sex?
Are you getting quality time together?

First find out why he is not interested then you can find a solution. To have intercourse or not to have intercourse during pregnancy is your personal choice but that should have not stopped you being intimate and spending time together as couples during pregnancy.

 

Sit down and have an open discussion. Maybe there are reasons which are deeprooted like others have mentioned. Some underlying issues perhaps and a counselor can sometimes help as well.

 

Apurva, you need to tell about the overall relationship status with DH and his extended family and his workplace pressure...

Was he in the delivery room at the time? Some people can take sanyaas witnessing something like that

Seriously, if he is tired, take a vacation together. Create opportunities. If he is very tired, give him a massage! C'mon you can get creative!
