    Hi Suhania,
You need to be bold to be bald. YOu took the bold decision by having faith in GOD and totaly surrendering to HIM:thumbsup.

I have a query in this subject, Hope to get feed back from any members.
Moderator: I am not sure if I can continue here in this forum or to start new thread, if this needs to be moved to new thread pls move it.

    My Question,
Head Shave for married woman, is this a cultural belief or relegious belief?
This is because it kind of contradicts as only when a woman is widowed she shaves her head.
Any members are welcomed to answer as I sincerely want to know the difference.
    Thanks

    Dear SR09,
    Thanks for your reply

As regards your query, I do not know whether married woman can do a tonsure. But am sure that in Brahmin community, only a widow can shave their head...and even men who have their father alive are not supposed to shave their head..

Am saying this because, most of my friends in our office are Brahmins and they told me that sumangalis are not supposed to do a headshave...

Keeping behind all these believes, cultural or religious, to my knowledge LOVE is blind and it does anything and everything for it..

    Cheers,
    Sujatha Hari.

    Hi
I was amazed to read this. It takes tremendous guts and self confidence to shave off the hair and face the world in the urban workplace. Awesome !

    Dear Suhania,

First and foremost, let me tell you that you have won an enormous admiration from me. What you have done is very brave and it needs some real conviction to get one's head tonsured. I also admire you husband for giving you his whole hearted support and shaving off his hair to keep you company. Love rules! :thumbsup

May Lord Venkatesa bless you both and your's forever.

    L, Kamla
