Yes .Some tamil communities dont do it -especially Sumangalis,but in Chennai I do see a lot ot tonsured ladies -faith makes us do many things and this is one I suppose-

In a few months time you will be able to sport a whole new trendy ,short haired look!

And nice of your husband to give you company too.

What you did,is indeed very great. My mom had some prarthana for me, and when i was 12 years old, they did my tonsure in Tirupathi, that time itself i was crying, but anyway agreed. But you did it now, which shows ur commitment and love towards ur DH.:thumbsup
