    Hi Manju,

Same feeling to me. I wondered how it is possible in Chennai with water problem? Because your garden is very good and a feast to eyes. All plants are so cute and healthy. It is only because of Kerela.:-D

    Hi to all,

After seeing all your garden flowers, I too want to put my garden flowers. Here in Banglore we are having space to keep veg. and flower plants. There are 5 types of hybiscus flowers and now i started keeping small plants like kanakarambaram, roses, jasmin, thuasi, 'thuluka samandi', white samandi, yellow samandi, two types of crotens,'pavala mali' and shenbakam.

let me put when they start flowering. Thanks to all of you for sharing so beautiful flowers photos here in this thread. Really i enjoyed it very much.

    hi Blondie and Madhu,

Thank you. The name of that flower is Passion flower. It is a creeper. We all must thank Manju for starting such a wonderful thread. This should continue forever.
I am sending some pictures of brahma kamalam. Generally these flowers will come only during july (Ashadam) but to our surprise 5 flowers bloomed on 19th september. But the flowers will start blooming from night 10 and will come to full bloom at 11. But they will whither till morning. But when they bloom it is such a feast to our eyes because during dark night these white flowers blooming, is really a fantastic scene. I can't tell in words, one has to experience it. If anybody is having unusual flowers like this, please share with us so that we all will know.
    Thank you everybody.

    Alivelu

    Hi Alivelu,

does the passion flower bear seeds? if so can you please save some for me?? I would love to grow that vine at my home. Are the seeds of this flower like banti naara ? (like use the dried flower as seed).

Loved the brahma kamalam pictures. The feeling you have described is true for seeing all the blooming flowers at night. Just now took a stroll in my back yard (it is almost nine in the night) and it was a pleasure to see all my plants in the semi dark and the blooms especially looked like they are full with inner luminiscence. It must be especially true for your night blooming brahma kamalam.

Yes thanks manju for starting this nice thread....

    Alivelu,
Very nice pics of brahma kamalam! I think they are very attractive and very fascinating see them blooming, we had in our house in Bangalore, last time when I went to b'lore I took several pics, they are sitting some where in my hard drive..

Blondie, you can grow through leaves like Kalanchoe here, also through stem I think (I don't remember correctly)

Thank you for posting brahma kamalam flower photos... I had seen this flower in my aunt's garden.... I didn't know its name as Brahma Kamalam.. She told me it is 'Nishagandhi'..... I think both are same....

Those flowers were so beautiful, Alivelu.... Thanks again for sharing them here....
