My garden Flowers

That small white flower is the flower of snake gourd in tamil pudalankaai.

At first i though u were maintaining all these flowering plants in chennai. As im from chennai i was wondering how u were able to grow those beutiful roses.Now i get it , everthing is in kerala.

Hi Manju,

I did not do any thing special to grow kanakambaram. It seems to grow well with the sun and rains in florida here. It's too bad you can't grow those flowers in chennai atleast when you go to kerala u can see them. I also love flowers.

dear manju
just read your post about moving to chennai and not having the garden. i think you are missing your beautiful one back home. did you consider container gardening. its very popular in the u.s.
small space works good for it and you can easily have a wide variety in a balcony. because of chennai temperatures, its easy to grow year round. hope this helps

Wow! Those are beautiful pictures .. what a lovely garden!

Understand how much you must miss them. I had a small garden in Bgl .. a few pots of tulasi, manjal, jasmine, rose, kanakambaram, geranium and night queen. I had to distribute them all amongst friends and relatives before we came to Sgp .. even though it was just a few pots, it was heart wrenching :-( But, I guess we can both take consolation from the fact that our plants are well cared for

Your pictures have really motivated me .. I'm going to see if I can find some small plants that I can accomodate in the limited space I have here. Wish me luck!
