Everyday after my DH comes from work, we have a conversation about how the day went. It is not usually a sit down converstaion, it just happens while doing tons of other stuff. Trust me, we have tried to have sit down conversations but that just doesnt seem to work for us. We kind of get tongue tied.

Whereas in the midst of doing something, we have sooo much to tell each other. Actually I should correct that statement . My DH normally takes only 15 minutes to tell about his day and whatever happened in office. On the other hand, I am the type who keeps rambling on and on about my day, news at home in India, latest gossips about friends and relatives, TV shows, movies, books, actors etc etc. I will even have something to tell about the neighbour's cat. :bonk

Last thursday we were both really really busy. DH was exhausted after work and I was caught up in some personal work of mine, so we didnt get a chance to talk elaborately to eachother . In the night after going to bed, I started telling my DH everything that happened that day. For me, being super busy means lots more things to say. So I went on and on and DH kept responding with lots of "oh oks" and "hmms" . Almost an hour passed by and I finished my conversation and I hear my DH still continuing with his "oh oks" and "hmms". Thats when it struck me that my DDDH (dear dear dear H) was sleeping all along :bang

So I turned in the opposite direction with a huff and decided to drown my sorrows by sleeping.:spin At that moment DH got up and asked me very sincerely "Were you telling me anything?" So I just hugged and kissed my man and told him that it was nothing important and to go back to sleep :kiss

I dont think DH even waited to hear my answer. Before I even knew it he was snoring away to glory :biglaugh

Very sweet of you both, Contended.
The enquiring words from your DDH, after that slumber and the action on your part are sooo sweet!

You know one thing, when people are used to light amidst their sleep, when you put off the light, they will get up..maybe your dh did the same thing too..your 'lullaby words' stopped and he got up! :idea

One time, I was talking about a serious thing to my dh, he 'listened' (did he?).
Later on when the same issue came upfront, I told him, I told him--"I told you about this the other day"..to which he answered, 'Really, I thought, you were repeating what I was talking about..:bonk" :biglaugh

Keep talking contented. We can sleep very well when there is a buzz around :)

Sriniketan is right, perhaps 'your 'lullaby words' stopped and he got up"

Thanks Sriniketan for your first feedback ... Yes I think all DHs are the same ... They "listen"..., now do they?

Hahaha Yeah it sure is contradicting . Hey MST you know what, I was searching for some recipe in the net and I came across your blog. I wont tell the name here so as to maintain your privacy. Initially it didnt strike me... then there were so many things which looked familiar. :)
