This is the first time i am writing something. i went through the beautiful relationship between brother and sister. Actually i have no brothers, being brought up with cousins right from my childhood to VII std in Mumbai while my sister was brought up iN Madurai with granny. i had three cousin brothers 2 elder to me by 2 and 4 years and one younger brother by 5 years. perhaps that was the reason i never felt embarassed among guys later as my brothers were too good, gave so valuable advices, fought so much, showered affection never in words but by actions. wonderful days of sharing, also my parents were in joint family with my uncle who was my pop's own brother and my mom and aunty were cousins and so we four always enjoyed me being the only girl who was never treated like a girl. his two sisters brought up in coimbatore by their grand mother. never will those days come again the day we shifted as my dad wanted to do business in madurai and uncle got transferred in IDBI bank to Chennai. i shed lot of tears. even now when i see my cousins hardly we speak but we know we miss them as they never like to show off by words that they like me just a silent hug at the time of departure and fight or argument until we leave. really i doubt these days joint family or brother sister would be so adjusting, esp unlike us when they are in so riches. i had to join my sister later after reaching here, she has been brought up with so much love and dominating attitude, but she is a wonderful mother more just being 2 years elder to me. we had never been jealous of each other, she is working in bank and selfsufficient, comparitively being a doctor/dentist my financial status is not that too high, i hardly have jewels, dark complexioned but my sister opposite, my brother inlaw more than my dad, needless to say my wonderful parents and my 10 year old son and her 18 year and 14 year old daughters are my good friends who keep me going amidst so many strife in life

    Nice posts.

I have 2 elder brothers both marrried and with kids. I am also married and live with my inlaws.

I can tell all of you today with my whole heart that I consider myself very lucky and blessed to have brothers like them.

They take very good care of my mother. Whenever I need them they are there for me. When my brothers went to school and I stayed home because I was too young to attend school, There were days when ice creams and cakes were given out in school during school functions and they will carry it back home for me with their hands and uniforms soaked in melted icecream and their face lit up to see me eat. I never appreciated them then but thinking of that today brings tears to my eyes. That love has not reduced one bit till today. Their wives are sisters that I never had on my own. Oh God if there is anything in the world I could do to come close to the love they have shown me. There is none!.

I thank God everyday to have been blessed with brothers like them. I pray for good health wealth and happiness on this Raksha Bandan day for them and hope I have them for brothers in whichever number of births I need to take.
