Dear Kanaka Raghavan, I am really sorry that I took my own sweet time to acknowledge this very interesting travelogue written by you. This was nominated to the FP forum a couple of weeks ago and I have been striving to take this trip with you ever since! Kanaka, reading this post made me nostalgic. I recollected the names and places of many that you mentioned, all tucked away in a far corner of my memory bank! Not that my memory is all that good, especially where names and places of travel is concerned. Hence I find it a great idea that you have put down all of it in this blog. Besides, it is also enlightening for those who would like to undertake a similar trip. Reading about Piccadilly, Interlaken, Innsbruck, Rhein, Rome etc etc makes me want to go back there, But then, when people like you write about it in such a vivid manner, I think I can spare the effort and enjoy all at my desk from home! Dear Kamala Thanks for reading my post.I feel so elated for having been nominated,because I never been so far.I have always wondered how everyone could write so well,but I keep writing and have always been happy with number of views if not about the number of feedbacks.No need to apologise,infact,my comp was down now and then yesterday and only when I opened this forum casually I saw your post.I really enjoyed this trip whole heartedly,so wanted to pen down each and every detail.I was planning to put it down in Community chit chat forum,it was Aruna ,Alpa and others who said that I should jot it down here so that everyone would read it.Thanks to them.Thank you so much for the feedback.I am overwhelmed by your warm reply.
My best trip it was Blackpool, it is in England near Manchester, that was a great trip in my past life, we four couple go there and it was really nice location, it is a beach area, nice beach and casino and so many amusement park and scary rides there. that time was carnival festival so we enjoy lot, we done lots of shopping and win lots of money in casino. So many big casinos there. really great trip and never forgettable in my life. i wish to go there again.

Hi, Thanks for sharing your trip information. Beautiful narration. Makes everybody to have vacation. Could you please give more details on your travel package. what kind of a package you choose and how much it costed. how is about accomodation, food etc from SOTC. Will it be very hectic during these vacations because we go to vacation for relaxing but it ends up with hectic and tiersome because we need to cover all the places. Loved your narration.
We took a fifteen day package by SOTC and it cost us around 2,699 dollars.Almost all the places sightseeiing charges are inclusive.Water and extra food if we want to buy we paid.Food was excellent and accomodation was good excepting Paris as the room had no proper airconditioner ,it was really hot outside.We did not find it tedious as we could sleep in the bus while travelling and anyway we return to to the hotel by six .
If you want to see tulips in Netherlands ideal time would be before MAY.An umbrella and cap is a must as some of the places are really hot and suddenly it starts raining.A good walking shoe is ideal rather than a slipper.It is good to take chargers for mobile phones,cameras and lap tops.Two pin ones.It is better to take coffee maker,sugar packets ,tea bags if you are an early riser as most of the hotels charge for the knick knacks they provide.It is better to finish off swiss francs before you leave Switzerland.Anything else you need I will be glad to provide.
Kanaka, It was good reading your travellogue. I did a similiar trip this year during summer (No tour package) and visited some of the places that you mentioned. Was nostalgic and started wondering why I did not jot down my thoughts at that time(I think I was too tired at the end of the day to write anything and too busy enjoying the sights when I was out). It would have been handy now. But your notes made me revisit my trip and enjoy it again. Made a good read !
