My baby turned on his tummy today (at 28 days)

Hello all,

It was a surprise and a bit worried too that my little one turned on his tummy very easily today. He is just 28 days old.
Today afternoon he was lying on the sofa with my mom sitting besides him and he was completely awake and very silently looking here and there.
I was doing some work when my mom suddenly called out to me. I came and saw he coolly turned himself on his tummy, properly aligned his head and went off to sleep very cozily.
We were pleasantly shocked and very cute to see it.
My mom again put him on his back. This time I had my mobile camera ready in hand.
He turned himself again but this time he got his hand under his tummy and didnt know how to take it out. but he went off to sleep again in that position.

We were just surprised that do babies turn on their tummy so soon? Please post your experiences

actually we were waiting for my daughter to roll over even in 3 months...

your son is really super fast...hope he does everything like this..

Wow Pavi! That was quick! For your sake I hope he goes a little slower on the rest or you will be running after him in a few mnths! A note of caution - if he knows how to roll then please be very very careful about leaving him alone on beds/changing tables etc. even for a few seconds. And do try to ensure that he sleeps on his back.

Thank you everyone for the wishes.
Yes Vanathi, he has been keeping me so busy that I cant log on to IL once in a day also

He has learnt to catch of my dress while feeding and after feed when I try to put him down, he knows it and starts screaming. He demands to keep latched on all the while till he goes into deep sleep. Its becoming difficult for me as my nipple area hurts a lot. Hope he leaves this habit soon :spin

My mom is doing slightly better Dhivya. Hence she has postponed her flight by one week and so I am now bathing my baby with my mom's presence. I am slightly getting to know why he cries but yes at times it is so panicky when he cries a lot
