    Hi Vanathi,

    Yep .. one more aadhu for IL :)

    My waters broke on 37 week day 1 in a rather dramatic fashion. We rushed to the doctor who decided to induce labor and gave me 18 hours from the time my waters broke to try for a natural delivery. She said that after that the chance of infection to the baby increases. Well, after the alloted time I had only dilated 4 cms so we had to do a c-section.

    But then due to GD, his blood sugars were a little low so they admitted him to the NICU where he stayed for 3 days. Then on the day I was discharged, he got a mild case of jaundice and they held him back another day. But now he has been home a week and it's been hectic!

    When he is awake, my mom, my hubby and I are on our toes. Because they were feeding him formula in the NICU, he got hooked on the bottle and refuses to latch on to the breast. So I am up every 3 hours, day and night, pumping breastmilk. I sleep only 2 hours at a time, no more than 6 hours a day. So it's been really tiring. But it's worth it :).

    I am planning to meet with a lactation consultant later this week to see if she can help him latch on.
