My 2.5yr old daughter knows 100+ rhymes

Hi friends,

This is my first post in the kids corner forum. I just wanted to share my daughter's skills with you all. Since she was 1.5yrs i wanted her to let me do my work so i started playing rhymes cds and dvds for her. She is now 2.5yrs old and can say more than 100 rhymes.Another interesting thing is that if we give any keyword from any rhyme(which she knows) she can say that in no time. For eg; if you give a word diamond, she will start twinkle,twinkle. If we give spider, she will say incy wincy etc.
Whichever CD we play she knows what would be the next rhyme and by the end of the just 1 rhyme, she will be ready to change another CD in the DVD player by herself.

My family feels very happy about this and guests are always accomodated with her rhymes.

Happywoman,
That's very nice to know about your little angel. She is an intelligent itseems. How come she grasped as many morethan 100+? Just by listening?? amazing!!
Can you please suggest some names of those CD's. My son will be 1 by next month. Maybe I will also start sometime next year.J

Hi Priya,

I can suggest you something on this. I bought CDs for her mostly from sangeet sagar, sec'bad and music world in imax complex. Yes, she picked up all the rhymes on her own just be seeing. To develop her interest, i downloaded many mp3 format rhymes into my cell phone and keep playing that for her ( as lullaby) while i do my house work or teach my son.

Hi vani..Thats amazing..My son does know lots of rhymes..i have to count..and he too started singing with action when he was around 20 months..He can also associate day-to-day things with rhymes..

Thats very nice keep her incouraging.
My daughter is 20 month old she also knows more then 100 rhymes and songs .
she know rhymes in hindi english and in our native language.
She speaks in complete sentence .

Its really gr8 to know that your DD is so brilliant..My son started his first words at the age of 2.5 yrs old(after starting daycare) ..In the beginnning , i was teaching him hindi,punjabi ,English but later on due to language delays I communicated with him in English only..But now he shows his interest in learning hindi also so I am working with him and my ,almost 2 yr old, daughter...Please suggest me an any hindi DVDs/music CDs that we can buy for them...I got Ramayan and Hanuman Cds but they don't have interest in watching that..
