Hi Mom Karnik Muscat is a decent place , Weekends can be hectic from heavy partying to Mall hopping, dinners with frnds to quite time at home. Depends upon the Circle you have and pick. Until and unless you mean wearing low neck lines,n bikini's @ beach Until then all's ok. Jeans Tees to skirts to Mini's again depending upon your comfort level and the Circle you move in. TV and internet , since that's my hubby's area , so will check and let you know. What area have you picked up for your stay

Hi all, I am Akila from Kumbakonam (Tamilnadu). We are family of three with an infant (almost 18 months).Great to know this lively group..We are presently in Saudi but would be moving to Muscat in a short time. I would like to get your thoughts on these: 1. How is the public transportation wrt timings and safety? 2. Hubby would be travelling, so would like to settle down in a place which is reasonably near to super markets, hospitals, Indian veg restaurants Any suggestions.. 3. What is the voltage/frequency..220 V/ 50 Hz or 110 V/60 Hz. This would help me pack required electronics and dispose others which are incompatible. 4. Is there a concept of fully furnished apartments or compounds..any specific places with reasonable Indian population and well maintained.. 5. Also would like to know which private health insurance company has got good access to most hospitals in oman.. 6. Are there any communities which recite Sashti Kavasam, Lalitha sahasranamam and Vishnu sahasranamam on week ends. 7. Is it easy to go to Dubai during weekends by car or its a lengthy/tough procedure. 8. Can my hubby convert his saudi license to Oman license. 9. Which satellite TV has good reception without problems..Sun direct or Reliance or Dish TV. Can we bring from India? I know its lot of questions, but I am sure, this is very common when we move from country to country. Looking forward to your replies.. Kind Regards Akila
