Hello frds We are currently in dublin,oh. Planned to move on paloalto due to my hubbys work. Heard palo alto is too expensive to live and so looking for surrounded area. Which is best place to live around palo alto. Santa clara is the better option?. If so how lo g will take for commuting to palo alto ? And want to know about the cost of living as i heard its too expensive. SEEMS LIKE HOUSE RENTALS ARE TOO HIGH . Other than that what we can expect to be too costly . And want to k w about schools and spl coaches like swimming lessons. Any type of info will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Palo Alto, Cupertino has very good schools but the rents are expensive. Santa Clara has good schools but not the same standard as Palo Alto or Cupertino. Maybe you can look at San Jose, bordering Cupertino. The school district is Cupertino but housing is a bit cheaper. Another alternative is the mission school district in Fremont. The schools are good but rents cheaper than Cupertino or Palo Alto. Commuting is bad in peak times from Santa Clara to Palo Alto but not that far. I think the distance is just like 15-20 miles. Bay area in general is expensive but has a lot of indian community with a lot of indian stores and restaurants. Weather year round is superb. Welcome to the bay area.

Here is the cupertino district map. Cupertino Union School District: District Map Apartments around lawerence expressway and stevens creek fall into san jose yet with cupertino schools. Also, apartments around Fremont avenue and homestead fall into sunnyvale but cupertino school districts. For apartment renting the city doesn't matter, mainly for buying a house it matters. So may not be cheaper. I live in a house so have not looked into rental market for long. Here are some apartments in the cupertino school district. https://hotpads.com/ca-cupertino-union-elementary-school-district/apartments-for-rent For swimming, most apartments have swimming pools. There is also YMCA, DACA clubs. Cost is reasonable.
