Moving to New Jersey - Discussion Lounge

I know the area well. Oxford arms has washer/dryer inside every apt and lease terms are flexible but the pain is their service. Blueberry village is okay. you can walk to the train station. Check out Rivendell which is popular in that area. Rivendell has large kitchen and wash/dryer inside.

All 3 are ok for decent living.

Mythili, I dont deny you. I have even lived in the bad parts of jersey city where buddies were with narcotics and guns. As such okay area for bachelorts/spinsters but not for the families. Who want to listen the cops vehicle sounds all day and night. Pain.

We r new to NJ and planning to rent an one bed room apt in edison..
We have seen many apartments in edison.
Many apts included heat, cooking gas and hot water in rent.
Apartments we personally like is rivendell at edison (not rivendell heights/village) and royal gardens at piscataway.
Now we are little confused to take which one.
Rivendell do not include electricity, and gas in their rent(Heating of the water is doneinside the apartment).Heating is centralized and is done by gas.
Can anybody tell how much will it cost monthly(on average, for one bedroom apt) for electricity and gas?
Any feedbacks for this apts will be appeciated.

I have a friend in 2 bedroom at Rivendell, she said it cost around 200-250$ in winter itseems.

I didnt get any reply for my last post :thumbsdown.I am currently in New jersey for a week staying in a hotel with my hubby on his official visit with our 3month old baby. We will be permanently moving to NJ in the first week of April.We need to look for some nice apartments or condos in and around bridgewater and somerville.Please reply ASAP since your valuable suggestions are appreciated.
