moving from germany to barrington, need suggestion for nice apt around barrington

hello Ladies,
we are a small family of three. My daughter is 8 yrs old(2 nd grade). We wil be moving to Barrington from Munich, Germany in mid of may. My daughter wil start with grade3 in the next school year startng aug 2013. our main consderation to look for housing will be an area with good elementary and middle schools. we have been thinking of primarily these areas for apartments /condos so far:
Arlington heights
Buffalo grove
Hoffman estates

Will be great if you can provide me some more input on the places above, or if there are any other areas nearby that we might also consider keeping in mind the education. Also will be great to know, the areas that are No-Go to filter out not so good areas too. Thanks for your help in advance.
