garland garland garland learnt from sudha maa

Hi friends
posting my recent garland done using polyster material you know learnt from sudha maa and did this satin ribbon garlands for the first time. plz post your valuable feedback

 

Woolen & Satin Ribbon Garlands

Hai friends,
hope all are doing well . and today i finished my new project about garlands taught by sudhaji and thanks for her for her detailed procedure and i did some of garlands with my materials which was in my hand and i tried in small satin ribbons and as usual i added u pin work in that garlands and some pompoms also.....
in this snap the pink and green garland, pink colored woolen thread and did u pin lace and did like satin ribbon and added green colored satin ribbon and atlast added some pink beads with bells to form a mala effect!!

in this second snap i used cream color woolen thread for my u pin work and made lace and then like satin ribbon i made garland and i used golden color and green colored satin ribbons for make a full garland!! in this i didnt add any thing in the middle of the mala!!

in this snap i used tiny satin ribbons for making small small mala's for dieties and in that i added bells also i nthe middle part and added some beads also!!

and the last one i tried some pompoms in green color with golden colored satin ribbon and make one small garland and add one pompom in the middle part!!

My first craft work - paper thoran

HI everyone,

Have been seeing so many craft work being presented by ILs. This has inspired me to post one done by me. This is a thoran i have made of paper, i used this for decorating during navratri. This is made with materials at home like paper, matchsticks, pista shells.

Sure sadiya..

The materials required.
1)A pair of hair clips.
2)Your favorite color satin ribbon for flowers
3)Green satin ribbon with for leaves.
Depending on the size of clips you can choose the width of the ribbon
I have used 0.8mm for flowers and .3mm for leaves
4)Needle, if you have craft needle, it will be easier.
5) Same color thread as flowers.

There are many tutorials on youtube showing how to make satin ribbon roses.
Out of all, I have watched, most neatly explained is this.

This is about making roses with two ribbons. I have used the same procedure with single ribbon. Initially just try some flowers with 3 mm or higher width ribbon as it will be easy to sew and control will be more with them.

Once flower is made, stitch leaves at the bottom..
Leaf can be made as in the below pic


Then stitch/glue the flower to the top of the clips.
