Hi Friends, We are planning to migrate to Nellore very shortly. As we have been residing in Metros till now and moving there for the first time, I would need your guidance on the following:- a) Cost of living in Nellore b) Whether Kendriya Vidyalayas are there in Nellore? Does it also have CBSE affiliated English medium schools? c) What will be cost of rent for a 3 BHK (Independent house or flat) and which are the best residential localities. e) What is the major source of drinking water like its availability (like corporation water, bore well or well etc.) f) Is electricty available in plenty or Load shedding is plenty g) Nellore Environment in general h) How do you rate the experience of living in Nellore on a 10 point scale. i) Any other information that new comers to Nellore should know. Hi Tanmayi , Welcome to Nellore, my home-town.Actually I was staying there till May and recently we have shifted. 1) Cost of living at Nellore is not very expensive. 2) Actually you don't find any KVs here but there are the best of schools . 3) Coming to CBSE , there is a school called Gomathy Public School which is good. 4) The house rents vary from 7000/- to 9000/- for two BHK flats and 10000/- to 14000/- for 3 BHK flats( a bit expensive) 5) Most popular and posh residential locality is the Magunta lay-out. 6) Source of water is mostly borewell or Corporation water. 7) Load-shedding is for two hours a day . 8) Nellore environment is on the whole dry and mostly friendly. 9) I give 10/10 rating for Nellore.

Tanmayi , Actually u will feel really comfortable at Nellore as U can find anything at any cost.Gold is also very famous here.
