Microwave Safe utensils

    Hi friends,
    Last Saturday we bought one convection oven ( LG MC 1449BB) , I am very new to oven cooking, so could you please help me in buying some microwave safe utensils.. In Bangalore where can we get some good brand micro safe utensils?I want to make some cakes , cookies and planning to try preparing some curries ( dry and gravy ) on that... planning to start my experiments on this weekend :hide::hide:

    Please tell me the basic utensils and things ( like towel etc,.) I need to purchase before starting with Microwave oven cooking... :)

    Hi Parvathy,

    all the very best for MW cooking.,

    Did they provide u with crusty plate for frying??

    Also u need to buy glass ware bowls for boiling. Also u ll ve to buy aluminium trays to make cake or baking items. Keep in mind when u buy that these things shouldnt have any metal or metal papers or shiny powered decorations.

    The plastic utensils they provide are not that useful.

    Also Mw gloves are available.

    Hi,

    It is a black metal like plate. It is not available in the market. There was 3 complimentary cookery classes for samsung customers by the company,.The teacher who teaches sells this.

    I think, other brands, these plates come as accessories.

    U need to buy Borosil Glass Bowl which is MW safe. We can boil vegetables for avial, etc and the colour doesnt change.

    The glass plate is called turn table which rotates and we need to keep the grill stand or the glass bowl on this. Only by rotating , the mW gets evenly distributed to the food items and get cooked.

    hope i am not too late in replying. As others said, dont use the plastic containers given along for cooking..you can use them for reheating.
    You will get nice glass items for microwave cooking in hometown /total mall/and Jamals.
