Dear IL ites,

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas. Like the popular song, " tis the most wonderful time of the year" , i wish that everyday of 2007 is wonderful for each and everyone one of us.

I would also like to share my most favorite christmas song with you . It is called "Grown up Christmas list" And this is what i would wish for everyone every year:

Do you remember me?
I sat upon your knee.
I wrote to you with childhood fantasies.
Well I'm all grown-up now
And still need help somehow.
I'm not a child,
But my heart still can dream.
So here's my lifelong wish.
My grown up Christmas list...
Not for myself
But for a world in need.
No more lives torn apart,
That wars would never start
and time would heal all hearts.
Everyone would have a friend
and right would always win...
And love would never end
This is my grown-up Christmas list.
As children we believed
The grandest sight to see was
Something lovely wrapped beneath our tree.
Well heaven surely knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal a hurting human soul.
No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts.
Everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end.
This is my grown-up Christmas list.

Beautiful wishes in the form of a beautiful poem.

there's one song that I always remember durin the Christmas season & beginning of a New year.
Its called, A LITTLE GOOD NEWS sung by Anne Murray.
as another year comes to an end, this is what I wish for --

A Little Good News
I rolled out this morning
Kids had the mornin' news show on
Bryant Gumbel was talkin' 'bout the fighting in Lebanon
Some senator was squawkin' 'bout the bad economy
It's gonna get worse you see, we need a change in policy

There's a local paper rolled up in a rubber band
One more sad story's one more than I can stand
Just once how I'd like to see the headline say
"Not much to print today, can't find nothin' bad to say", because

Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody OD'ed, nobody burned a single buildin' down
Nobody fired a shot in anger, nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today

I'll come home this evenin'
I'll bet that the news will be the same
Somebody takes a hostage, somebody steals a plane
How I wanna hear the anchor man talk about a county fair
And how we cleaned up the air, how everybody learned to care
Whoa, tell me

Nobody was assassinated in the whole Third World today
And in the streets of Ireland, all the children had to do was play
And everybody loves everybody in the good old USA
We sure could use a little good news today

my favorites

Dear Vandhana,

one of my cousin presneted me a collection of songs by Anne Murray nearly 15 yrs ago. the one I posted is my favorite song & there's another song, "Just another woman in love", which according to me is the best love song ever.

though I don't have the tape with me now, christmas & new year season reminds me of these two songs.

glad you liked the song.
Is it snowing there ?? what plans for this season???
