    hello

melur road and half a loaf of bread?

i was travelling to madurai with family ...
i love the green roadside and hardly sleep lest the greenery slip by..
the little rains had helped the green get more green and as we were nearing
melur the green got greener...and i was anxious to see what plants the
roadside vendor had in his little open garden/nursery...
proceeding to madurai i got the shock of my life...
a huge pile of rock usually welcomed visitors to madurai...
the rocks almost travelled with us for a distance and
when they did dissapper the smaller ones or roads /towns tookover ...
this rock should have taken ages to become one huge block..as rocks
are not formed in a day...or is it just a hand shake of dear old GOD that
it just happens in a jiffy?
well anyway this rock had been cut just like a loaf of bread into half..!
while the thought that we need stones for buildings pavements or idols ..
what a greedy act of man to have cut away half the huge pile?
i used to say that i would love a nice sofa type chair made of stone under
the jamun tree as it can stand the weather and look all antique etc...
but am having second thoughts...after seeing this half a loaf of bread like
    rock..made my heart heavy...
    god please save rocks too..!!

    ya sathya!!!

U r obsolutelyy right i am also from the same area..all the farms r sold out which r in the road side..not only in the melur to madurai road,Pillayarpatti road...everywhere the same...and the money that come out this buisness is huge...but the only thing that v can do is pray to god...the yanamallai rock which is left over doesn't suite their granite criteria so they din't touch it..gods grace some of the rocks escapes...

    Regards,
    SD
