Medicinal properties of Ladies Finger

    Vendaikkai / Ladies finger / Bhindi / Okra : -

    1. mild laxative
    2. prevents cancer
    3. treats infertility in men and women (the root is boiled and the water is used to treat the chornic stage in men)
    4. the leaves when boiled - the water will get glycerine texture and helps cure dyssentry (seedhabedi)
    5. In a glass of water, put a vertically slit ladies finger, leave it overnight and drink that early in the morning. Keeps diabetes under control (provided you also have proper food)....
    6. keeps your skin healthy
