    Re: mutton kolas

    Hi Rithi

    First clean the raw mutton several times. If you have a food processor you can grind the mutton till it all becomes a thick dough.Do not add water when grinding in the processor.

    After this process you can add ginger,garlic,chillies,coconut,kadalai pauppu and salt make a paste using little water.Now u can put the grinded mutton and this paste together in the processor and make a dough and then make small balls and fry it in the oil.

    Priya: After mincing mutton in food processor do you cook mutton or just add the minced meat to kadalai parupu mixture.

    I'm just worried if mutton will give raw taste if directly mixed and fried in oil

    Hi
    You have to use the raw mutton after mixing everything as I said.There wont be any raw smell bcos you are going to fry it in oil.

    Re: mutton kolas

    Hi,
    First I shall give the ingredients needed for making kola balls;

    Ingredients needed;

    Mutton
    Onions
    Green chillies
    Ginger
    Garlic
    Fennel
    Egg
    Roasted gram
    Oil

    Procedure:
    First pour little oil in a pan.Add fennel,fry and then add sliced ginger,garlic,sliced onions and slit chillies.Fry them well till golden brown and then add washed minced mutton with a little salt.Cook till there is no water left.While frying can add cloves and cinnamon.Cool and then grind it in the mixie.Just a light turn will do or it will become too pasty.To the mix add an egg and powdered roasted gram.....mix well and make small balls.Deep fry in oil and you will get tasty and crispy kola balls.Goes well with sauce.

    Pl send your remarks after trying this.
