To me it means.... A balance between yourself and the society....

Dancing to the dandiyas aswell dancing in a pub....

Hanging out with friends,
and going out with family...

Keeping in touch with friends and always being there for family..

In short, spreading happiness and smiles wherever you go....

As long as you are happy and joyful in whatever you wear and carry yourself, doesnt matter....

Traditional or modern, both are a way of telling a woman, what to wear, how and when.... So whatever u wear, remember to wear that gorgeous smile n spread it to others too

 

Not just dressing.... but many things in life are based on perceptions, set of beliefs and hearsay stories....

I feel its always nice to accept a person as they are, irrespective of how they dress or what they dress.... For me it doesnt matter if a girl comes in tube tops n mini skirts to a temple, its her choice....

When we accept people for their choices and understand things from their perspective, i guess this world will be a better place to live.... ( this is just my opinion)

Jokes apart, this traditional yet modern kind of branding happens a lot in the marriage market.
This happens to be the most selling brand, with a very wide range of demand.

What does this traditional yet modern brand means?
A woman with a very modern thought (namely open minded, broad minded, less controlling, less nagging, less demanding, less depending, more independent, educated, etc) and traditional in looks (means, prefer traditional/ethnic dressing, humble, respectful, soft spoken, homely, take more responsibilities at home front, adjusting etc)
This is the great strategy, that helps the man 100%.
Because a full traditional woman sometimes become a burden with her inability and complete dependency when it comes to our fast and modern life.
A full modern woman may be a threat with her freedom, and financial independence. She may chose not to take any craps in the name of tradition. She may demand equality in a marriage, and sometimes refuse to respect others just for the sake of it.
So, Indian men prefer this combo traditional yet modern; hence the high demand.

Basically the producers produce their products as the market demand only.
That's why, Indian parents prepare their DDs to grow modern by educating them, giving them a career, independence etc... yet forcing them to be so traditional, like respecting in laws, forget about parents after marriage, and bend over backward with H's demands etc..

 

All the rules and laws, traditional or modern applies to only women....

Coz hey, freedom for a woman to think what she needs isnt right.... she always has her parents, siblings, spouse, children and inlaws to think for....( i meant in a sarcastic note)
