It’s the era to reconnect and we are on the go ,
In a motionless world , should I say so ?
I really care to remember and so I feel ,
the need to keep in touch as I clinch a deal .

My business is important and so are my contacts ,
so are my meetings, sessions , minutes and abstracts .
My reminder prompts me to keep up my appointments
of scheduled dates and promises of fulfilling assignments .

It’s the need to grow and growth emanates from change ,
to upgrade and enhance, as thoughts we do exchange .
It’s the desire to acquire ,mature and ripen ,
in age as greying experience moulds to shapen ,

the character, the mind and the intellect ,
in tune with today's times and here I reflect ,
upon the golden days past and the bygone ,
of days well spent and a sunny morn .

A walk by the pool with my dad by my side ,
a helping hand to my mom and with eyes open wide ,
    I see a family eating,working and praying together ,
a practice alas! no longer in vogue and forgotten altogether .

I remember the happy round robin munching sessions ,
of rice balls rolled and mouthfed, and my granma's missions .
It was a wish to watch us grow in small steps, leaps and bounds ,
To overcome all obstacles and cross all difficult mounds .

I remember their prayers and their skipped meals ,
Of sleepless nights and tears hidden in laughter peals .
The tiny fingers that held on to them are long & slender today ,
The arms that embraced them are stout and stocky today .

If you have crawled, stumbled, fallen and risen ,
wavered, strayed, made mistakes and still forgiven ,
If you cherish the memories and if are proud of what you are today ,
Thank Heavens for the Precious Gems, Our Parents who sacrificed their yesterday.....[IMG]

    Excellent Chokkanayaki!

Yes, our parents have sacrificed their yesterday...that is why what we are today. Matrrurunam and pitrurunam can never be repaid.

Yes dear friend. Its a debt that can never be repayed .As life comes a full circle, and now, when I discharge my duty as a parent, the job though challenging is most satisfying.Again it is the loving behaviour that we show towards our parents that comes back as our reward from our children...Need we ask for more ?
