Masters Program In Psychology - Us Vs. India

    Hi all,
    I wanted to pursue masters program in psychology in USA and I just heard that, study of psychology in USA and India are different and if I pursue my masters in psychology here then I can't become a psychologist in India in the future and If wanted to become a psychologist in india then I have to study in india only.Is that true?

    This is often a licensing issue. For fields that require professional accreditation and licensure, it is best to first identify roughly where you expect to practice, check the licensing requirements and then plan your studies, interniships and licensing exams (if any) accordingly.

    This is just an example. There may be other accreditation agencies and they may vary in their cachet. Best thing to do is to find a practicing psychologist and ask them for advice on how best to manage this.

    I want to pursue either clinical or counseling psychology.

    I wanted to pursue either clinical or counseling psychology.So I can pursue here in USA and practice in India
