Risteka bojh nibhate nibhate haam bhi paresan hai
Dur nazare tak sirf andhera hi andhera hai.

Risteka bojh nibhate nibhate haam bhi paresan hai
Dur nazare tak sirf andhera hi andhera hai.

Barbaad kar diye sare zindagi dusroke liye
Mere jawani ki ek ek raat bit gaye bin piye.

Aab bohot ho gaye, jina haam bhi chahte hain
Tu agar mujhe chhor de to mukammal jannat hai.

Nice to read your poetry in Hindi too. :) Good decision for someone who is struggling to walk out from too much selfless or unhappy attachments/burdens.

Intended meaning can get lost in translation and interpretation. My best guess for the above is,
"now it's become too much to bear, I also want to live
If you leave me, then my heaven will be complete/accomplished."

If the above is close to accurate, then, I wonder why the burden of leaving (and ensuing janant) is put on the other insaan? : )

I am reminded of a couplet intended for politicians who don't want to give up their seat of power yet bemoan that their hands are tied due to this and that.
kursī hai, tumhārā ye janāza to nahīñ hai
kuchh kar nahīñ sakte to utar kyoñ nahīñ jaate

Thanks Mistt for your feedback. It was a "farmaishi" post. We get a plethora of responses from females where the bond of marriage has become unbearable for them. You don't get to see the male side of the story.

Yes Rihana, your translation is correct. Thanks for your comment! I wonder whether marriages are made in heaven or in hell! But, no one can deny the fact that a large percentage of them can be termed as failed. In those failed marriages, life becomes a torturous for either one or both of the spouses. Unfortunately, in India getting a divorce is not easy due to many reasons. So, if it happens on mutual consent, there can be nothing better than that.

Coming home to see the kind gesture relieves one from the stress of a hard and tiring day.
